Every published post has share buttons, and a link to it shows a card with the post's picture, its title and your blog's colors. This guide says where the buttons are, how to hide them, and what the card shows.

## Where the share buttons are

Every published post shows them in two places: a row under the byline, and a block after the article headed "Share this post".

- X, LinkedIn, Facebook, WhatsApp and Reddit open that network's share screen with the post's address and title.

- Share by email opens a new message with the title as its subject.

- Copy link copies the post's address and says "Link copied" for two seconds.

- On a phone, or another device with its own share sheet, "More ways to share" opens that sheet.

The buttons are plain links, so they work before the page's scripts have loaded. Their labels follow the post's language: English, German, Spanish, French, Hindi, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Dutch, Nepali, Brazilian Portuguese and Simplified Chinese. A post in Nepali shares its Nepali address and title.

Share buttons are included in every plan, including Free, as of November 8, 2026.

## Hide the share buttons

An owner or admin can turn them off for the whole blog:

1.  Open Settings → Appearance.

2. In the Share buttons card, turn off "Show share buttons on posts".

3. The buttons disappear from every post. Links people share by hand still show the post's picture and description.

Turn the switch on again to show them. There is no per-post switch.

## What a shared link shows

When someone shares a post on a social network or in a chat app, the link shows a card drawn by PixelClaw (since November 8, 2026):

-   the post's picture, under a fade in a deep shade of your brand color;

-   your logo on a white tile, or the first letter of your blog's name when the blog has no logo;

-   your blog's name, and the post's category in a pill when it has one;

- the title, and your blog's address with the reading time, for example "appdesign360.pixelclaw.app · 7 min read", in the post's language.

A post without a picture gets the same card on your brand color alone. The blog's home page has a card too: its name, logo and address.

- The brand color is the one under Settings → Appearance → Brand color, on plans with Post layouts (Starter and up). On the Free plan the card uses PixelClaw's default blue.

- The logo is the one under Settings → Appearance → Logo. It should be at least 200 pixels wide; a wide logo on a plain background looks best.

- The category is the post's first category by name, from its Categories & tags.

- The card is a JPEG of 1200 by 630 pixels, well under 100 KB, so chat apps such as WhatsApp show it.

To see a post's card before sharing it, open the post, choose Preview and switch to the "Social card" view.

## When a network keeps showing the old picture

Social networks keep a copy of a link's card once they have fetched it. New shares get the new card; a link shared before November 8, 2026 may keep its old picture on that network until its copy expires. To refresh a link you have already shared, use Facebook's Sharing Debugger ("Scrape again") or LinkedIn's Post Inspector. X refreshes its copy on its own within about a week.
