# What are Firecrawl and Google Search Console for? Do I need both?

Choose the right connection for researching a topic or measuring Google Search traffic.

**Firecrawl** provides web lookups for topic research. If your plan supports an own research key, a Blog Site owner or admin can open **Settings → Integrations → Web research**, enter the key from the correct Firecrawl account, and select **Save key**. Those lookups then use that account. The AI step that writes a brief or draft can still use PixelClaw credits. You can also use plan-funded research when it is available.

**Google Search Console** measures impressions and clicks from Google Search. A Blog Site owner or admin with Analytics access can connect a Google account in **Analytics → Google Search Console** and select a property that covers the blog. PixelClaw page views measure recorded page loads, which can come from many sources. One visitor can generate several page views.

You can use one without the other. Follow the [Search Console connection guide](https://help.pixelclaw.ai/en/articles/6-connect-google-search-console-and-see-search-traffic.md) or check [current plan features](https://pixelclaw.ai/pricing).
